No cookies, no analytics
This website sets no cookies for visitors, stores nothing in your browser and uses no analytics or advertising services. Fonts and pictures come from our own server. Links to Instagram, Vimeo, LinkedIn or to broadcasters' media libraries are plain links: only when you click one do you leave our site; there, the privacy policy of that provider applies.
Hosting and access logs
The website is hosted by easyname GmbH, Canettistraße 5/10, 1100 Vienna, Austria, acting on our behalf. When a page is requested, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) to deliver the page and to protect it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The server writes these data into an access log; the IP address is shortened after 24 hours and the log is deleted after three months at the latest. From it, an anonymous statistic is made that only we can see.
Counting page views
On our own server we count how often each page is viewed. For a view from outside (a visit) we also note which site it comes from (only its name, e.g. “google”), whether it is a phone, tablet or computer, the hour and the country. For the country, your IP address is looked up in a country database on our server (data by DB-IP, db-ip.com) and not stored. We also count clicks on videos, links, “Plan your route”, the e-mail address and the phone number. For this we set no cookies, store no IP addresses and create no profiles; the counts cannot be traced back to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Daily counts are kept for 25 months, after that only monthly totals.
Videos
Trailers and the showreel are hosted on YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) or Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., USA). A video is loaded only when you click “Play”. With this click you consent to data (including your IP address) being transferred to YouTube or Vimeo (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Data may reach the USA; Google and Vimeo participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has found an adequate level of protection (Art. 45 GDPR). For YouTube we use the privacy-enhanced mode, for Vimeo the “Do Not Track” setting.
We do not store your decision: you decide anew for every video and every visit. If you no longer want data to be transferred, simply do not click “Play” again. What YouTube or Vimeo have already received is governed by their privacy policies.
Contacting us by e-mail
When you write to us, we process your address and your message to answer your request – for a request about a commission, to prepare a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), otherwise on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep e-mails as long as needed for the request and beyond that only where statutory retention periods require it (e.g. under Austrian commercial and tax law, usually seven years). Our mailboxes are hosted by checkdomain GmbH, Lübeck, Germany, acting on our behalf.
